Christmas in Paradise

Two bereaved families take a holiday vacation to an exotic Caribbean island over Christmas week to escape the memories of Christmas past. The Cassidy family, father Dan (Colin Ferguson), teen daughters Fran and Jenna, recently experienced their wife/mother leaving them for another man. And the Shaw family, mother Dana (Charlotte Ross), teen sons Reed and Tyler, recently suffered the death of their husband/father. The two families meet aboard ship on the Caribbean Christmas Cruise. Given all they have in common (their losses, a single dad dealing with teen daughters, a single mom dealing with teen sons), the parents and kids develop bonds over the course of the cruise and their two day stay at a beautiful Puerto Rican beach resort. Late Christmas Eve comes the big curve ball -- Dan's ex-wife shows up to reclaim her family. What promised to be a happy Christmas filled with fresh hope and new relationships turns emotionally complicated as each character has to sort out their feelings and choose their own path. After some deep soul-searching the two families end up coming back together in love, friendship and filled with the Christmas spirit.

is this movie ever going to be on dvd? cause i was just looking on about 30 sites for it, and about 20 sites to see the whole thing online. but no one had it. or is it going to be on soon or for mext christmas? i had it taped but my VCR destroyed the tape : (

I saw the very end on this movie last year. My husband and I had been to this resort on vacation. I have searched for it for a year now and missed it again on tv. Does anyone know if it is available on dvd or vhs? This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Those of you raised in PR are so lucky. I'm definitely going back someday! Any ideas where I can find this movie?

This movie is a classic. It is precious, perfect for any age. It is amazing how much anyone can learn about Christmas traditions celebrated in different countries.

I'm so happy i was able to watch this and record it finally. Now i could watch it anytime. they should really have this movie on dvd it will sell so many copies. I even called my aunt in PR to let her know to watch the movie and many other family and friends. Nice memories of growing up in PR and going de paranda.

PLEASE SHOW CHRISTMAS IN PARADISE AGAIN, I DIDNT GET TO SEE THE BEGINNING AND SAW ABOUT ONE HOUR LEFT, LOVED IT!!! THE DETAILS ABOUT THE 3 KINGS DAY AND THE PIRAGUAS AND MARACAS, THE CUATRO, IS SO AUTHENTIC OF PUERTO RICO, WOW, IM SO HOMESICK NOW, THE STORY WAS AWESOME TOO, THANX LIFETIME! SHOW IT AGAIN PLEASE!!!

I loved this movie! I am so bless to be from Puerto Rico. It is just BEAUTIFUL! I am proud of our traditions and of course, the festive and affectionate people, especially during Christmas. I am so fortunate to spend them here, waiting for the three kings!

I really hope that they make a DVD or that it gets aired again soon...

Please show this movie again b4 Christmas. I saw it last year, and, was hoping to buy it, I missed all but about 10 mins as I found it was on too late.......It's an awesome movie and my most remembered part was the singing of Silent Night together.

i love this movie so much. i have been looking forward to this christmas because i laved this movies last year. i already marked my calender for december 6th and 3:00. i hope it plays more than once. you should make it to where people can bye it.
