When a store accidentally orders 60,000 Christmas lights, hardworking employee Lou Boyd decides to start a contest to sell off the excess decorations. The store's attractive owner, Dianne, wants to keep the very profitable contest going at all costs, despite the fact that the competition has put the local population at each others throats.
