Queen Latifah stars as Gina, an independent-minded woman who's sick of her arrogant boss at the salon. Pushed to the limit, she quits and opens her own beauty shop, bringing both coworkers and clients along for the ride. But she faces challenges along the way, like raising her daughter -- and fending off her ex-boss's plans for revenge! Gina and her motley crew of stylists and neighbors are a force to be reckoned with, though, making for one hilarious and heartwarming romp of a flick.
