Born in Vancouver, Canada, Tess Atkins discovered acting in her high school drama classes, auditioning and participating in various school plays. At the age of 14, Atkins decided to pursue acting professionally and quickly landed television and film roles. Her first role was in the film, "The Odds" which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Her television roles include an appearance on the AMC show, "The Killing" and she co-starred opposite Anne Heche in Lifetime Original Movie "Girl Fight."
When she’s not working, Atkins rides horses competitively, plays soccer, tennis, is an avid swimmer and an advanced downhill skier. She also enjoys traveling, playing the piano and writing short stories and scripts.
