to be honest, until yesterday i didn't know it was possible to have a romantic moment much less a whole evening of near perfection.Last night Richie, my boyfriend, and i went to a bigger town in our state to go get a tattoo, well they were closed. we end up at some little "dive" bar and sit around and drink a few. well, I thought that the night was shot,little did I know. Granted we didn't do the flowers, and candy stuff that most girls like, but then again I'm not most girls. When we got back to my house he just kissed me told me that i make him so happy and that he can't wait to make me his wife. He makes everyday feel more romantic than the last. we both are happier than we have ever been and i pray that this last forever<3

I've dated some unusual guys, but the most unusual date I had was with my husband while we were dating. We had a do-over date. One of our early dates was somewhat of a comedy of errors. We were supposed to drive to a comedy club in a nearby college town, but his car kept stalling out so we didn't end up driving out there. Then on our way to our backup plan, an ice cream shop, he managed to get a ticket for an "unsafe lane change". We still wonder over why or how that happened. There were just weird things happening all night. Anyway, we basically scrapped the night, and he was so distracted there wasn't even a goodnight kiss. I agreed to a second chance because I liked him, and he outdid himself on the second try (yes, there were flowers and much more!) We made it to the comedy club, an ice cream shop, and even that good night kiss.

My most unique date was a double blind date with my cousin and his wife and his best friend. They picked me up and we went out to dinner, and to Old Town. I thought he was the most handsome man I had ever met but being a single mom I was kind of lerry. All turned out well and we have now been married for 5 years.

My most unique date took place shortly after my divorce. Determined not to become a statistic I decided to get back in the saddle and try dating again. Not that I cared for it much the first time around. As luck would have it, I met a young Navy Chaplin, stationed out of Long Beach. He seemed polite, easy to talk to and he also insisted that we have a "family" date which included my 3-year-old and my 8-year-old. I thought to myself...at least he isn't afraid of dating someone with kids. We spent the day together and I thought things were sailing along pretty well until he suddenly said to me on the ride home, "I can take you, but I'm not sure I can take your children." Surprised and speechless, I was silent the rest of the way home. Needless to say I missed my opportunity to tell him...NO problem, I've decided we can't take YOU.

I would have to say that the most unique date I have been on was definetely the worst. I went to see American Wedding with my new boyfriend at the time. Well, sure enough he tried to kiss me, but the bad part was his timing! He tried to kiss me right when Stiffler was eating poop! EW! Obviously I did not kiss him but what's worse is that he looked like a fish so I started laughing. We spent all day at Disney quest and needless to say he tried to avoid me the whole time.

It was Valentine's Day 1997, and we were planning a romantic, quiet evening together at a surprise location...we ended up at the Grand Floridian hotel in Orlando, and he led me to the marina area. We then boarded a private pontoon boat with our own captain...he sailed the boat to the center of the lagoon where we watched the evening fireworks together and sipped champagne....

After my divorce, I moved to Illinois. Every time I'd go grocery shopping, there was always one stocker that had a smile for everyone and was friendly and polite. I was pretty shy and skittish around men, but I finally got to where I could chat with the stocker once in a while. Once in a while he'd bring up his single brother and after a year I finally agreed to go out on a blind date with him. We met at a local pub ( me dragging along a chaperone lol) where we spent over an hr playing pool, having a drink, and me doing all the talking. Though courteous, the guy said 10 words the whole time, rarely smiled, and didn't even try to act interested. Even my chaperone couldn't get him to talk and spent the whole time making faces at me and rolling her eyes. I finally gave up. As I was leaving he said I had a great time when can we do this again? Of course, I said no thanks and went back and told his brother off. I was ashamed and shocked when I found out that the poor guy had been in an abusive relationship and his ex had seriously hurt him to the point that he was as afraid of women as I was of men. I'd been the one woman his brother thought might get through to him and I blew it. It was my first, last, and only blind date, but I learned patience, sympathy, and tolerance from it and have carried those lessons with me ever since. I now give everyone a second chance because I realize that first impressions are not always fair impressions.

My most unusual date was when my boyfriend took me with him while on call with his tow truck company. We spent the night towing cars, unlocking car doors and filling gas tanks. I was given the task of navigator which I did well which impressed my boyfriend. We ate at a greasy diner with 5 other tow truck drivers and I was able to keep up my side of the conversation about cars, sports and girl trouble. Later I was driven home, given a peck on the lips and "I love you, I can see us together forever." We have now been married 27 years and I still navigate when we travel.

He took me to dinner and sat next to me and held my hand the whole time. It was hard to eat but we had such a romantic time just talking and looking into each others eyes.

My most romantic date was me and my husbands first date. We went to see Buckingham fountain at night when the colors changed and we had out first kiss and here we are 11 years later and so in love with each other.
