The Naked Truth
This week, a 39-year-old mother wrote an essay on babble.com explaining that she doesn't mind when her post-toddler, preteen sons see her naked. But she does have some rules about baring all in front of her boys:
• They only see her naked when it can't be avoided, like when running from the bathroom to the bedroom.
• She's never naked in front of their friends.
• She will answer any questions they have about her body parts.
• She doesn't touch, tickle, kiss or hug them while nude.
She laments the fact that it's more awkward for a mom to be naked around boys than it is for their father, just as it's easier for moms — but not dads — to go without clothes around their own daughters. What do you think about parents who don't wear clothes around their children? How about you — do, don't or depends? Do you remember seeing your parents in the buff?
