Household Cleaning Tip

When the weather is warm and dry, hanging your clothes outside will cut your electric bill (or Laundromat costs) and give them a freshness that you can’t get in a machine. String a cotton rope in a shady spot. If clothes feel a little stiff when you take them down, toss them in the dryer for a few minutes on the fluff cycle. —Josh Garskof, “The Cheap Bastard’s Guide to the Good House and Home,” The Globe Pequot Press, © 2007 AAA
