Oscar-nominated actress Salma Hayek is now a mom. Her publicist announced September 21 that Hayek gave birth to a baby girl, Valentina Paloma Pinault. No further details were released.

The child is the first for Hayek, 41, and her fiancé Francois-Henri Pinault, a 45-year-old businessman. Pinault is the chief executive officer of PPR SA, which owns such fashion brands as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Puma and Balenciaga.

Hayek was nominated for a best actress Oscar for the 2002 biopic “Frida,” in which she played famed painter Frida Kahlo. Hayek is also an executive producer of the hit TV series “Ugly Betty.”
