Hottie, We Hardly Knew Ye

There are oh, so, many things to be missed about the time we've spent here while Romance: B(u)y the Book's lived at myLifetime! So before we move for awhile to www.RomanceBuyTheBook.com February 1st, I really want to look back and recall the thing that most gets me verklempt.

Sure, we Bellas have made so many new friends, and I'm looking forward to all of us heading back to blogger for awhile where, at least the ease of openID might soothe our lack of access to celebrity sidebar gossip and hair tips at a finger-click.

And while we've sneak peeked and prodded the world-at-large into taking note of the best and hottest romance books, we sure have had fun getting to know new authors and celebs - Fabio, anyone? - and talkin' trash and trashier.

But the thang I'll miss most about our time at myLifetime is not so much a what as a whom. Which is to say, I'll be missing that gallery of stripped-down glory that is myLifetime's "stock image" collection of pictures we use to illustrate articles and stuff.

In particular, I'll lament lusting for my favorite stock image model of mysterious mien, the shirtless mid-adult male I like to call...StockBoy.

So, I hope you enjoy - and have enjoyed - StockBoy as much as I have. There've been oh, so many nights I was stuck for something to write, when I thought, "Perhaps a trip to see StockBoy might fire my imagination!" Did it work? Well, it worked something, and occasionally a blog post resulted. But the research, as it's said, is always half the fun of the writing.

Well, that's what I say, anyawayz. And I also say, thanks for spending time with me here while RBTB's been livin' at myLifetime.  Your humor and thoughtful outlook on life -- as well as kind support of each other's lives and love of romance -- make RBTB a force of karma to be reckoned with.  'least that's the way I like to look at it.

I have to be honest, I'm not going to miss the log in process - usually it takes at least three goes! (It only took two today, so YAH!).

Onward and upward :)

And Michelle, will anyone need to check the packing boxes to see if stockboy has stowed away?

I'm late to the party as usual--and I've been only a sporadically faithful Bella since you joined lifetime.com, but let me say, I was NEVER disappointed when I did join you, every moment was memorable--and I just know whatever format you find and wherever RBTB goes, it'll be the best dang, hottest darn, sexiest romance site ANYWHERE.
As for Stockboy-- we'll miss him, but Michelle, there will always be hot hunks waiting in very long virtual lines to be stocking your shelves, of that I have no doubt.

Hiya Michelle! Hiya Bellas! For the last time on Lifetime. Laughed at Stockboy! Poor nameless hunk! Actually I think he's definitely BEEF stock, not chicken stock. And absolutely not FISH! Although perhaps a vegetable or two might be suitable for Stockboy...

See you in your new home!!! Hope the move goes like a breeze.

It is kind of sad to see it go. I admit after awhile I got attached to the site. There were a few memories I'm taking with me, like being nominated for a 2008 aware (you stinker!). It's been a fun ride. But I like blogger better, I have to admit. It'll be nice to be back to that.

When I first read “Stop N’ Click” I read it as “Stop N’ Lick” I blame it on the pictures of Stock Boy and his half nakedness ;op Not that I’m complaining.

We’ve had lots of fun here but I can’t wait till it doesn’t take two min to load the page and I don’t have to work the system to log in. And maybe Michelle will go on a research bender (you know how dedicated she is) and come back with lots of new pictures of hot half naked men that make me blush at my desk ;op I mean a girl can hope right?

You see, LeeAnn, as we age, our eyesight begins to fail. So we're forced to rely on other senses. Which I guess explains why my screen is so smudgy after I do finish up a research bender, as you aptly term it, with StockBoy.

Well, you know I'm all about giving you what you want, so I'll definitely do what I can to give you fun at your desk. :)

My favorite moment...I actually do have a lot, but I loved it when the format changed to what it is now--I feel as if you single handedly brought lifetime up to speed. Or there abouts.

Too bad you don't get a favorite moment at your bon voyage. As there is no SEE MORE button to click. Instead you have to click 'Permalink" to get to read the entire post and see comments. Ha!

My fav moment was when you emailed me and said you loved my story. You were the first person aside from my agent and editor who ever saw the thing, i.e. the first Real Person, and I am still all giddy from it :-)

Hope RBTB at blogger provides a more sane hostess experience for you, and also gives you more time to blog rather than oogle photos of hot men. :-) Or, as Shiloh points, out, perhaps not . . .

My favorite moment was that one time I wrote a blog post and all the html worked and no sidebar disappeared and the "READ MORE" link showed up, and the comment 'submit' button didn't go to 'Page not found' and nobody wrote to say they couldn't register or get on the site to comment. And I didn't have to bug somebody to try to fix it...

Yeah. Remember that one time? That was great.

There have been *loads* of golden moments here... but I think getting my award last year has got to rank up there! You could have knocked me down with a feather... :)

But I'm so looking forward to returning to the old blogger format... so much easier to 'do'... LOL
