Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley Top Winners at 2007 CMA Awards
The three hit singers took home two prizes each.

Country Music Association favorites Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley reigned supreme as the top winners of the 41st annual Country Music Association Awards, held November 7 at the Sommet Center in Nashville. All three singers won two awards each. ABC televised the show in the United States.
Chesney won the prize for entertainer of the year. His teamup with Tracy Lawrence and Tm McGraw on the song “Find Out Who Your Friends Are” also netted him the award for musical event, which was awarded to all three singers.
For the second year in a row, Carrie Underwood took home the CMA prize for female vocalist of the year. She also won the award for single of the year for “Before He Cheats.”
Paisley was honored with the prizes for male vocalist of the year and video of the year for “Online/”
Sugarland pulled an upset by winning vocal duo of the year, breaking the winning streak of Brooks & Dunn, who won the award for the past six years in a row.
Taylor Swift won the Horizon Award, a prize given to a promising newcomer. Underwood won the award last year.
The awards featured a new format this year, with celebrities sharing hosting duties throughout the show. The hosting celebrities included Sara Evans, LeAnn Rimes, James Denton of “Desperate Housewives,” Kimberly Williams-Paisley of “According to Jim” and Kate Walsh of “Private Practice.”
Performers at the show included Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire, Underwood, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Paisley, Sugarland, the Eagles, Chesney and Martina McBride.
