Here's what Shawn had to say when we talked to her:

How would you describe this album's vibe?
"My whole career has been playing live solo acoustic, which is not what my records are, really. It's a good representation of the songs, the way people have been hearing me do them, in live settings, for the most part, so it's real intimate."

After winning Grammy Awards for song and record of the year, what keeps you grounded?
"Well, I live in Austin, Texas, and I have an 11-year-old daughter, so that keeps me pretty grounded."

Do you have a favorite Michael Jackson song?
"As far as the song goes, there's too many. I really liked 'The Way You Make Me Feel.' I really liked the groove on that one. But there's kind of too many. I was watching a retrospective of his performances, and again, I mean, there's too many to count. The guy was extraordinary."

And finally, if your life was a Lifetime movie, what would the title be?
"'A Few Small Repairs.' That's what life is!"
