Celebrity Candidate Endorsements

It's important to remember that most American celebrities are liberals who usually support Democractic candidates. This isn't something unique to the 2008 presidential election. It's been like this for years. The media will give more coverage to candidates that have more "star power" associated with them. Rudy Giuliani is a Republican and he got a lot of media coverage for a while because he was a celebrity after the September 11 atacks. I'd also like to say to "brandnewme," the person who made that racist comment below, "Is there a Black person that isn't voting for Obama???" Actually, if you were educated about politics, you would know that there are many black people and black celebrities who are NOT voting for Obama because they were either supporting Hillary Clinton or they belong to another party or they simply don't want to vote for Obama. I think celebrities have as much of a right as anyone else to support the candidates they want to support. It's unrealistic to expect all celebrities to "keep quiet" if they feel strongly about things that matter to them. If all celebrities stayed silent, then people would accuse them of setting a bad example by not caring about world issues or not caring about voting. You can't have it both ways. People will ultimately make up their own minds on which candidate to support, or if they want to vote at all.

Oprah needs to shut her mouth as do all of Hollywood right now. I used to think she really did have a big heart and wanted to give, but it's only because she loves the attention she gets by doing something nice!!! MONEY can buy a lot, but it can't buy you peace of mind or a place in Heaven!!! It is sickening how the media focuses on what Hollywood is saying instead of talking about what really matters, however most of what we are hearing comes from the clowns anyway like Oprah, Clooney, Madonna, and the all famous Paris Hilton. Maybe the anniversary of 9/11 will remind everyone of how we need a leader and today McCain really made a good move by appointing the "Female" Governor of Alaska!!!

I THINK PEOPLE NEED TO VOTE FOR WHO CAN CHANGE THINGS FOR THE GOOD.AND IF YOU VOTE FOR SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE OF THE COLOR AND SOMEONE FAMOUS SAY TO DO SO YOU DO NOT NEED TO VOTE .AND JUST BECAUSE HE IS BLACK THAT IS NOT THE CASE HE IS BLACK AND CAUCASIAN .

Is there a Black person that isn't voting for Obama??? It's pretty sad that the color of skin would convince anyone that he is the better candidate. It's also very sad that Hollywood seems to have such influence over who we should vote for. I thank God that I have enough common sense to vote for the right candidate and it sure is not Obama. It is very sad what has happened to our country and putting Obama in office would be the biggest nightmare of all. You all need to wake up and really listen to what he is saying, or should I say is not saying. Without someone to write his speech he is at a loss for words and that proves how unexperienced and ignorant he is!!! Hollywood and the media need to stop shoving your views down the throats of those who have not decided, however that is what they do best. I am considering my membership to the Lifetime Website as well since it appears that you didn't really do a thorough search of Hollywood to see who the real majority of these so-called stars are voting for. It's pretty sad to see that Lifetime had to stoop to the level as well.

It's pretty sad if someone depends on a "celebrity's" opinion to decide how they are going to cast their vote. Think for yourselves and do your homework, people, and don't look to some vapid "famous" person to make your choice for you!

I think it's wrong for a celebrity to try to force their opinion on everyone else. Voting should be a personal choice made by each individual and not influenced by anyone else especially on talk shows, which should be for entertainment not for politics.

I dont know who else agrees with me but I think this will be a close but good election. No matter if Hiliary win or Obama win it will go into history. Hilary will be the first woman as president and Obama will be the first African American president. This election is very important!! I hope the U.S will chose the right person for this election and that person will do a great job. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO VOTE IF YOU DONT VOTE ANY OTHER TIME VOTE THIS ELECTION!! SPREAD THE WORD: VOTE!!
