Sherri Shepherd ("30 Rock," "Less Than Perfect") leaps from daytime to primetime to headline her own all-new comedy series, "Sherri," premiering Monday, October 5 at 7 pm et/pt on Lifetime. The series will feature stripped original episodes for a full week, then move into its regular time slot (Tuesdays at 10 pm et/pt). "Sherri" centers around a newly single mom, paralegal and part-time comedienne/actress who tries to get back into the dating scene and move on with her life after divorcing her cheating husband. Sherri finds solace and support among her girlfriends at the office while juggling her hectic life.

I have been a fan of Sherri Shephard since seeing her on The Jamie Fox Show. I am so happy that her career moved to the next level. I love her on The View and really enjoy the story line of the Sherri series. I truly hope Lifetimes listens to its viewers and keep "Sherri" in its program line up for many years to come.
