When I first heard about cbs letting GL go I was heart broken. I've watched GL for the last 18 years on cbs and as much as it would seem strange to watch on lmn it would be better than not being able to see at all. Lifetime I would tune in daily. Thanks for keeping such a great show going.
I totally agree that Lifetime would be a perfect place for Guiding Light and As the World Turns...There are many fans out there that would watch their shows on Lifetime..Don't let CBS kill our soaps....
There are so many Guiding Light and now As The World Turns fans that are being left in the lurch by CBS. I spent last weekend with Guiding Light fans in Las Vegas and there were people there that have listened to GL since the radio days. I have watched it off and on for 37 years. These soaps would be a wonderful fit to Lifetime. Please seriously consider this.
I miss guilding light. I wish I could take with te cast. Seems like they could have someone to help themget this show start back. I feel something in my life is missing without the show. I don't see why lifetime don't put them on air. They have alot stupid other things. They keep showing the same old mess re-runs on lifetime.
I think if you picked up Giding Light on Lifetime you would defenitly have more women watching it often. They would watchit every day so they could see Guiding Light. Please reconsider your decision on having Giding Light on Lifetime. There are alot of people that love this soap.
WhAT do you mean that you don't have any series on lifetime Grey's Anattomy is a series and you have that on there. So you can't say you don't have any series on Lifetime.
I love Giding Light it is was my favorite soap I want it back on T.V. I have watched it for I don't know how long. I watched ever since I was in Junior High School or longer and I want it to be back on T.V.
I have watched Guiding Light for as long as I can remember. It has always been a part of my life. I grew up watching it with my mom and grandma and have been watching it for over 20 yrs. now. My grandma has watched Guiding Light from the very beginning. It has been something she has looked forward to every day of her life sense. I mean, she wouldn't miss an episode. We have come to think of these characters as a part of our family. It just seems as if they are. This is something that has been there for my whole life and now it's gone. It's so sad. I hate to see it go. I love that there was always a new episode each day. I used to watch other soaps, but they were so filled with filth that I stopped watching yrs. ago. This is the only one I have watched for 20 plus yrs. It's got great storylines, good characters that you just come to love and see as real people...these people become like a part of your family, great acting, and it's kept good moral values. It should stay on the air! Lots of people have come to see it as a huge part of their lives and will be so dissappointed and saddened if it stays off the air. It was bringing in loads of viewers each day over 2 million a day to be exact! That's huge ratings for you and viewers that may have never watched Lifetime before, but will watch it now that their soap is on it.
I have watched Guiding Light for almost 40 years. I record it everyday on my DVR so I don't miss any episodes. It is breaking my heart that CBS cancelled it. Please pick up Guiding Light on Lifetime so I can continue to be a part of the lives of everyone in Springfield. Please do not let such a historic program come to an end.
i'm only sixteen years old, & i've only been watching guiding light for about two years, but i love the show. i watch it everyday & when it's over, i can't wait to watch it the next day. i don't know what i'm going to do if this show gets completely cancelled. please lifetime, pick up GL. don't let the light go out. <3
it is my fav soap and have watched it as long as i can remember. Can't stand the idea of it going off the air. They always have the best story lines. I can't wait to get home and watch them as I work and have to record on my dvr. Would be too good to be true if was picked up by Lifetime
Please save our Guiding light...Don't let them take away the best show on TV...I can't stand the thought of never being able to see my Guiding light family after September 18th..Please keep the light shining!!!
What a coup it would be for Lifetime to pick up Guiding Light! GL is an icon in television history and comes with a built-in and loyal following. The storylines are superb (thanks to great writing and acting.....have you seen what Crystal Chappell does day after day?) right now and millions would flock to Lifetime to watch.
Not sure why there are so many polls for the same topic. But yeah, I'd love to see GL move to Lifetime. I think it would be a great fit for both the cable network and the show.
I started watching GL for the Otalia story line, but I love all of it now. Great stuff. Great writing.
I would absolutely follow Guiding Light to Lifetime! The ladies of Guiding Light were robbed of nominations for Emmy's ! Great that the men were recognized. It shows you that it is all politics and not the craft of acting that gets you a nomination for an Emmy! Kim Zimmer, Gina Tognoni and Crystal Chappell were Robbed! They had to suffer with an adoption of a cost cutting production model to survive another year on Broadcast TV! Initially it was troublesome, but it is great now! The actors say there lines in 1 TAKE! Did you see Olivia's Graveside confession of love for Natalia? WOW is all i can say! All the storylines a gelling together wonderfully, CBS is making a mistake that LIFETIME can capitalize on! Guiding Light fans are very loyal to their show! WE will follow the LIGHT wherever it goes! Guiding Light has the best Actors and Actresses on Daytime TV! PLEASE SAVE THE LIGHT! It deserves to be SAVED!
I am an Australian who has started watching the Otalia storyline online every day. What this storyline has done is prove to me how good and relevant this writing is and how committed the actors and crew are to telling stories that viewers can relate to and stories that need to be told. This show is not afraid to go where other shows have gone but does it with flair and grace and total commitment to getting it right whilst working on a low budget. These stories are universal and quite frankly affect my life and others in such a positive and thought-provoking way that to lose them would mean not only the lLght coming off the TV, but the light of the world dimming by a million+ candles in September, if it is not picked up by Lifetime! As for other storylines on GL, I have been so enamored by the Otalia one, that I am going to start looking at the backcatalog asap to fill all the other gaps in this show.
I am a 27-year old professional woman and a relatively new fan of Guiding Light. I've only been watching for less than a month. But I am supremely impressed with the writing and acting on this show. The Olivia/Natalia storyline is especially heart-wrenching and beautiful to watch. I have never before watched a daytime show, because I work during the day. But I make a point to watch Guiding Light online every day. Something special is happening with this show, the writers and the actors. And as a result, I am more dedicated to this show, and have become more involved to save it, than I have been with any other show I've ever watched. Please save Guiding Light. It is worthy of continuing on.
I would really love to see Guiding Light carry on especially on Lifetime. The new production model has really come into its own and the stories are on fire!
Please save our Guiding Light..Don't let them take away our Guiding Light family..It is such a good show and needs to continue telling its great stories..Guiding Light is like family to me and to all the other fans and the thought of losing this show is like losing a family member..Lifetime would be such a great place for this show..Please add Guiding Light to your network..You would not regret it..Keep the Light Shining for years to come.

I started watching Guiding Light when I was a little girl with my Grandma who to this day refuses to have people over for lunch because it might inter fear with her soap time. I am now 23 and cannot watch it with my family anymore. I love differently than my Grandma or Mom would want me to, but it's something they don't know about me. So it hurts when they or other people toss off remarks about "that kind of thing" on a soap. The love story between Olivia and Natalia is the most important on TV, and empowers more people than anyone could know. The thing is I would rather have to watch Guiding Light alone and here unkind words about love than not have it at all. It is touching to be able to sit and watch a love story that I can laugh and cry with because it speaks to my "different" kind of love.
I'm a 26 year old Hispanic female who watches GL religiously. GL needs a new home and wherever it will go I will follow and so will legions of "invested" fans in the US and around the world.
I personally would love to see Guiding Light come to Lifetime. I feel that CBS is making a huge mistake. I have watched Guiding Light for 20 years, since I was 7 years old. I would definitely follow Guiding Light to Lifetime. Lifetime please pickup this daytime show!!!
I have been watching GL since I can remember. My Mom always had the soap on and it is the only TV show that I consistently DVR when I am on the road for work. Keep the Light going on Lifetime! Also, keep it a consistenty time slot. In the NYC market, CBS did a disservice by moving the show to 10am EST from it's long running 3pm time slot. No wonder the ratings went down.
I have been watching Guiding Light for 44 years, since I started nursing my first child! I don't know how I will get through the day without satisfying my addiction and ability to escape into Springfield dreamworld.
GL is a television history treasure and what they've done with the show recently has made it into the best soap on TV in my opinion. Lifetime would the be perfect network to continue such a great show!
Guiding Light is too good of a show to go away. it has too long of a history for it to go by the wayside. I have watched this show for over 40 years off and on since I was a kid. It is my source of relaxation from school and/or work. I don't want it to go away!!!!!
Please don't let them take away my Guiding Light...I have been a loyal viewer for over 35 years and Guiding Light is part of my family...Lifetime please save the best show in the history of television. You will not regret adding it to your lineup..Please don't turn out the light..
Please add Guiding LIght to your network. I am a lifelong 36 year old fan..please don't let this amazing piece of television history die. I think it will bring even more viewers to Lifetime and will be well worth the investment! Thanks for your time.
Yes...I would like to see Guiding Light move to Lifetime Network. I have been a longtime fan of the show and would love to see the oldest running TV show continue. CBS has made a big mistake in canceling it. The show is getting back on track and deserves to be "SAVED". Please....please...please save this show...I will be heart broken if it doesn't continue!
Please please pick up GL. It's a piece of history. We can't succumb to reality shows...who needs all this stupid reality....the reality on TV isn't my life..... thanks,
I would love for Lifetime to continue airing Guiding light with the number of loyal watcher it would only help to boost raitings. The writing and overall show has gotten so much better this past year, They are doing what other show are not bringing us entertainment making us relax about out own life struggles.
The storyline with Natalia and Olivia has been so great and got me watching after 2 years away. Unlike other show where the couples weather gay or not are bed hopping and all about sex this couple is based on love that developed out of friendship. Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia are amazing both are outstanding actors who work so well together.
GL has so many great actors Ron Raines Kim Zimmer, Bradley Cole, Justin Deas who we've grown to love no matter what they've been on. And those like Marcy Rylan, Daniel Cosgrove and E.J. Bonilla whom I'm sure will continue to do great work and develope into our favorites.
As a loyal Guiding Light viewer of 33 years, nothing could give me greater pleasure than to see it remain on television, and I can't think of a better network than Lifetime for it's new home.
I would love for Lifetime to pick up GL, it would be a great fit. GL is a great show and it has a built-in fanbase...we will follow it wherever it goes (certainly to Lifetime). I watch Lifetime and if they added GL to their tv line-up, that would just give me another show to watch on their network.
GL is a really is a good soap with lots of family centered, back to basic storylines. I began watching on December 1, 2008 with the introduction of Jeff Branson as "Shayne Lewis". If he and Gina Tognoni ("Dinah") remain with the show, then so will I. :-)
This would be a perfect move for Lifetime. Not only would it attract more viewers, but it would open the doors for more exposure for the network. The network would be covered on a regular basis by magazines, internet sites, entertainment programs, etc.
GL is a television cornerstone. It's long and rich history should not end in September. Say yes to GL, Lifetime!
Ellen Wheeler and Jill Hurst need to continue on with this show if Lifetime picks GL up. Ellen has been passionately fighting for this show to stay on the air. She is the person to give us one more year of GL. Despite all the cutbacks from the higher ups...she managed to keep this show going. We need someone as passionate as Ellen to keep the energy and life that has made GL special to many of us. Jill Hurst needs to continue as well...these are key folks...if they don't continue this show will not be the one I fell in love with this year.
I do not watch Guiding Light but I love As the World Turns. I would love to see these shows move to Lifetime because I think that the network would treat these shows a hell of a lot better than CBS. They both need new executive producers and writers with more creative control. This would make me like Lifetime again after they dumped Golden Girls!!!
HI MY NAME IS JENNIFER HAMEL AND I AM 28 YEARS OLD. I HAVE BEEN A CRYSTAL CHAPPELL FAN SINCE DAYS AND I WAS 12 YEARS OLD. SHE HAS BLESSED ME WITH HER BEAUTY, GRACE AND LOVE. I AM A NEW FAN TO GUIDING LIGHT, BUT AM ENJOYING EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF IT. I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH SEVERAL OF THE CHARACTERS. I LOVE LIFETIME ALSO AND TOTALLY THINK THAT GUIDING LIGHT WOULD BE AT HOME HERE. THE SHOW IS ABOUT FAMILY, REAL STORIES, REAL HEARTBREAKS...MUCH AS TO THE MOVIES THAT WE SEE ON LIFETIME. I THINK THE SHOW WOULD BE AT HOME HERE AND I KNOW LIFETIME WOULD BE A PERFECT HOME.

I will follow GL to ANY network even if it means I have to go satelite...Lifetime, wants my business? LOL
