J.R. Ward Interviews Butch and Vishous at LifetimeTV.com!

By Michelle Buonfiglio Sun., Sep. 23, 2007 , 8:45 pm EDT

I'd like to tell you that J.R. Ward's writing a Jules/Robin-esque holiday novella for those of us who wouldn't've hated seeing a little more action between V and the Cop. Alas; not to be.

What I can tell you is this outrageous news:

J.R. Ward Interviews Butch and V
October 2-5
at "Romance: B(u)y the Book!"

You cannot read this interivew anywhere else, not even at JRWard.com!

This LifetimeTV.com exclusive is part of next week's RBTB tribute to J.R. Ward and Lover Unbound: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood."

And while I know she has more fun going one-on-one with the Brothers, J.R. did sit down with me for a one-on-one you can watch at RBTB. (She gives a great little dish about "Lover Unbound" you won't wanna miss)

It's a great honor - and a total rush - to bring you J.R.'s interview with Butch and V. Her writing it 'specially for us says a lot about you, and the home you've helped build at RBTB and LTR.

What do you like about the Black Dagger Brotherhood?
What's your favorite BDB novel? Your fave Brother/s? Fave shellan/chosen mate?

**SPOILER ALERT** If you're going to talk specs about BDB novels, especially "Lover Unbound," please be polite and type **SPOILERS** at the top of your comments. If you don't wanna know for spoilers, avoid the SPOILER-topped comments!

I recently discovered the BDB and have read each one of them at least twice. I passed them on to my sister and mother who also enjoyed them. We are eagerly awaiting the next installment in May 2009. They are the sexist band of vampires I have read about in a long time. I say either one of those brothers could bite me!!!!
I started reading JR Wards books with Wrath(so yummy), and well I have then all, except phurys... and Im getting that tomorrow!!! I have read each book prob about 10 times and am always waiting to see what she comes up with next. I have never been so loyal to an author, and always tell friends about her books. When I am waiting :) for the next one i tend to read Sherilyn Kenyon and Ruth Glicks moon series.. she writes them under a diff name and i cannot remember her name.. BUt Congrats Ms Ward, a devoted cellie!! BloodRose
i read 525 words per min- and have been doing this for 35 years. i have read all kinds of books over the years and the very FIRST J.R.WARD book i was in love with the brotherhood. each book is a true work of art- it holds you tight and you dont wont to lay it down even when you are done reading it. MORE brotherhood books please. these books are worth rereading and i never reread a book. I just turned fifty and am adopting a little girl we have had for the pass 17 mo, i,m keeping the books for her. thanks /sierraskyeann
I have read each book 2 times - awaiting next book in series and am so excited!!!
Okay, I'm all ordered up! Looking forward, and now onto Christina Dodd.

Jessica
Hi, jessica! Of all people, I think you will like the BDB. Can I admit this? I'm kinda glad that it's not me goin, "I've never read that" for a change. :)_________Welcome to our world, amy!______Orianna, you're a much better friend than I think I could be in this case. What can your friend possibly have to do more important than go buy LU? Does she have a really hot guy or something? That I think would be excusable. But only marginally. On the other hand, no. I don't think there's anything better to do than go buy LU. (but don't tell my husband and kids, ok?)__________bell, mwah! Glad you're as excited as I am!I can't just pick one BDBrother either. So I like to fantasize about a couple at once. TMI?______Has you're co-worker read BDB, leaann? Bet she won't be laughing then. But I get that she's having fun with you. :)
LOL Amy that is so true! _____Oh Jessica BDB is a total must read!!!
Can't. Breathe. Too. Excited.
okay, I have to admit this. I've never read JR Ward. Time to dial up amazon? I'm having a feeling so. Looking forward to it now. Jessica
Hello Bellas. ---- Michelle, today I am "virtually" kissing you. I still cannot believe; Christina Dodd, Iris Johansen and J.R. Ward, it feels like Christmas. ------ The brothers, well I have no idea which one is my favorite. I like them all. I just love vampires and I never get tired of reading these books. So, after I get LU, I will see if I can find a favorite, but it is so hard to just pick one.
The WARDen is going to interview Butch and V for LivetimeTV!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited! My copy of LU is waiting for me to pick up, but my best friend and I (since I started reading them) always go and pick up our copies together...so I'm patiently waiting until she has the time. OK, patiently isn't strictly true, but I haven't succumbed yet :)

I love the BDB, but my favourite character has to be Rehvenge... *SPOILER* He's just so...so...evil :) *SPOILER END* And the reason why I like the books...the Brothers all have their dark side, their faults, but when they do love they do so with all of their being :) Is it just me or is it hot in here? Michelle, you are so lucky!

orannia
I have now resorted to calling my Borders to make sure that they have my book in for tomorrow. So now they have to hunt through their boxes and call me back to let me know when they find it. My co-worker started laughing at me when I called. What can I say I really want my book ;o)
***LOVER ETERNAL SPOILER*** I also love the way Rhage mourns for Mary when he thinks she's died. I can just see him staring out the window in Wrath's office while everyone talks. And his terror when he sees her again that the SV will harm her. It's just lovely.****END SPOILER**** SIGH. I love these books!
Well that too Michelle, I was just so excited that I forgot to mention that part :o)____ I love all of the brothers but if I had to pick a fav I would have to go with Rhage there is just something about him that just makes you sigh really loud LOL. I think it’s the beast inside that only Mary can calm and sooth and also as Mary Kate said, the way he can talk dirty.
Jules, I'm so happy you're so psyched! "You never forget your first time w/ a brother?" You said it, Bella..._______Leann, I thought you hung out here for all our sparkling wit and good looks? Glad we could give you a little relief from your tense anticipation for Vishous. :)
Hey, mk, good point. There's an extra somethin to Ward's novels that just clutches at the gut. For me, I can't read it fast enough. Then I'm so disappointed when it's over. And the little sneak peek teases kill me. The one for Phury at the end of LU? sheeshamumma.
Portia - ***SPOILER*** If you love the transformation thing, you'll especially love V. Because his character really develops and changes in LU. That's all I'll say, but the payoff is excellent, IMO.___________***END SPOILER***________I think that's what I love about the Ward books. She has a very particular voice. She does a great job of capturing guy speak. Only very occasionally does something jump out to me as clunky. She does truly write romance crack. It's completely addictive but not a bit bad for you! LOL!
*****Spoiler**** [LOL] Yes, Queen Bella, that idea of transition and transformation just blows me away. It's a concept that has always fascinated me and that's why that development for Bu.tch struck such a chord with me. Imperfect human caterpillar to divine, magical, superhuman creature... who's *still* essentially human or perhaps humane in the way the Brothers themselves are. I mean, they've got their flaws and their hangups and their individual pains to bear and deal with... but their cause is just. They fight like devils, but they're defending family and friends and race, just like any true-hearted hero would.____ Ack, I'm babbling...
**SPOILER**______Portia, isn't that whole idea of cleansing through transition to Brother awesome? I mean, B.utch finds his humanity by becoming a vampire!_______It *is* difficult to put into words what's so great about the BDB novels, so sorry for asking such a rough question. I know I was frustrated writing the review, cause I want to stay under 500 words, give a little tease synopsis, and tell why the books are great. But, hullo? It takes 500 just to say why the dialogue is so good!______I just know I was steamrollered the first time I read a BDB. I was, like, "Holy **** (I bleeped myself, there, because that was actually what I thought at the time). What in God's name did I just read, and where the **** can I get more?"______Maybe you felt the same; I know you read tons of romance, too. But here was this totally fresh, rockin, vampire novel that didn't cram the vamp thing down the old s esophagus, ya know? And the frikkin way these guys talk and think? So contemporary. And it's all wrapped in this Regency-esque upper crust and noble knighthood stuff that I totally get off on. Oh, man, and then there's the virility of the Brothers that just doesn't quit, is always flippin front and center. What's not to love?!
I'll second that, Michelle. _______ *SQUEEEEEEEE*
