About Online Tarot
A brief overview of tarot and how the tarot deck can influence and inspire you.
Tarot dates back to the 14th century, and millions of people just like you have used it to look at their lives through a different lens.
Some basics: There are 78 cards in the deck, 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. What's major? What's minor? The Major Arcana have more weight. When one pops up in your reading, it literally indicates something major is going on. It means you should sit up and pay attention. When you get Minor Arcana cards in a reading, while still important, the lessons are usually more day-to-day and nitty-gritty.
Here's the thing you have to know: Tarot relies on your participation. You must bring yourself to it. Open yourself. If something doesn't make sense at first, which is likely to happen, let it percolate. Chew on it for a while. Your reading might make sense a week from now, or two months from now. Or it might never make complete sense, but it might subtly shift the way you see something or help you unlock certain blocks. No matter what, it will definitely shake up the conversation and add new dimensions and layers to your understanding.
It's your job to connect the dots and determine how the lessons apply to your life. Take it seriously, but not too seriously, and start to see your conflicts and concerns with new eyes.
