Say, say, say. Scrambled signals and communication breakdowns will soon be a thing of the past—can we get an “Amen!” Virgo? This Tuesday, your ruling planet, Mercury, resumes forward motion after a grueling three-week retrograde. Communication, transportation and the travel of information are all Mercury’s domain, and since November 6, all these areas of life have seemed foiled by the stars. “Over the meadow and through the woods” may have taken you on an aggravating detour before you landed on grandmother’s doorstep for last week’s Thanksgiving celebrations. Butting heads with a sibling, neighbor, coworker or close friend may also have disrupted the grateful vibes. And oh, how ugly the gossip may have been, with you finding it difficult not to be lured into the he-said, she-said cesspool.

Enough of that whole “rumor has it,” mess, Virgo! De-friending may be the best course of action with a few people, or at the very least, going to your respective corners to cool down. But with Mercury flowing forward once again, you might actually laugh off a ridiculous (because, admit it, it really was) blowup or forge ahead with a stalled partnership before the week is through.

If you’ve been using retrograde Mercury for its best purposes—anything with a “re” associated with it, such as research, revisions and reunions—you may be bursting with excitement, ready to present your findings to the world. Come on out of hiding! Schedule the pitch meeting, make your presentation, invite your stay-at-home-mom/high-school-pal to brunch with the cosmopolitan crew you’ve collected since graduation (a weird mix, sure, but variety is the spice of life).

Drive off the dealership lot with an eco-chic hybrid, as retrograde Mercury’s “lemon-factor” is a non-issue after Tuesday, or get your stereo system updated so you can easily play music from your iPod while you drive. Mobile gadgets of all kinds are Mercury’s domain, so chuck the old-school cell phone for one that actually has a keyboard. If you take public transportation, treat yourself to an e-reader to make your commutes more enjoyable. Your on-the-go lifestyle can be fun too, Virgo!

On Thursday, a lunar (full moon) eclipse in Gemini and your tenth house lights the way to a brilliant career opportunity. Just as Earth’s shadow will be visible on the moon for only a short spell, this prospect could come and go in a near flash. You’ll have to throw your Virgoan caution to the wind and trust your intuition. If your gut says “Go for it!” don’t waste time opinion-polling every friend who will pick up her phone. Make an autonomous decision and leap! Eclipses can black out one option, forcing you to look in a new direction.

Should one door close (even temporarily) on Thursday, forget about fiddling with the lock. Search for a window, as there is something beyond your current scope that is calling you. A helpful man may be part of the picture: the tenth house is the cosmic boys’ club, so tap the guys in your circle if you need a boost up the ladder this week. Your relationship with one man in particular could reach a milestone or watershed moment, which will play out over the next two weeks.

Look back to what was happening then for clues about what might be wrapping up—or ascending to the next level—this week. Have you climbed as high as you can together, or is there further for you and this fella to go, with love or your shared work?
