Cancer Weekly Horoscope

Week of November 26

Wardrobe! Styling! Put in a call to the glam squad this week, Cancer. On Tuesday, messenger Mercury wakes up from a three-week retrograde through your house of style, romance and creativity. If your self-expression has waned since early November, fear not. Fading in with the wallpaper is not your fate; in fact, you’re due to make a brilliant emergence again this week. Ta-da! Mercury’s direct turn calls for theatrical flourishes: big hair, bouncy waves, paillettes, the just-right shade of red lipstick, statement-sized accessories. So what if you feel a little bit like Celine Dion Live in Vegas? Being a showstopper is what Mercury is calling for, and besides, with your measured approach, you’ll be more L.A. chic than over-the-top. There’s something to be said for the elementary notion of “When you look good, you feel good.” Pampering yourself wakes up the slumbering goddess, and think about it: Which of these she-deities isn’t pictured draped in accessories? Awaken your divinity by adorning yourself this week…in a style that suits you, of course. It’s like letting the world see your insides turned out—a beautiful sight to behold.

Romantically, the past couple of weeks have been, er, interesting. Retrograde Mercury may have lured a wayward ex or two out of the woodwork, sending you spiraling back into that old, familiar abyss. Or, you were pumped up with hope, believing that perhaps he or she really DID overcome that flaw you found so fatal last time around. Well, Cancer, the jury is still out. You’ll have to wait until the smoke clears in the coming week to label this relationship as “born again” or “bad romance.”

Coupled Cancers may have descended into drama during the retrograde, bickering, sulking and sniping over god-only-knows-what. Retract your pincers and call a truce. You’ll have to make some concessions in the name of love—not too many, but a few. But really, isn’t having someone around to keep you warm at night worth the compromise? We think so, Crab, so don’t take your sweetie’s gifts for granted.

On Thursday, a lunar eclipse in Gemini rockets through your twelfth house of closure, completions and help from above. A guardian-angel type could enter your world, or a mentor whom you met near the corresponding solar eclipse on May 20, 2012, could emerge as a powerful figure in this week’s events, ushering in an incredible opportunity for you or taking you under his or her wing.

Got any addictive habits to break? For Cancers, emotional eating and tippin’ back the moonshine can be the big ones. These lures could be exacerbated during the eclipse, so keep your supportive sponsor-types on speed dial when the urges get strong. It’s possible that you’ll be celebrating a six-month anniversary, free from the toxins you’ve sworn off, as the May 20 eclipse may have prompted a healthy change. If you’ve made notable progress, be careful not to slip. “It’s only just this once” are famous last words for many. Steel your resolve, Cancer, and avoid the first proverbial sip from that chalice of temptation.

Eclipses are known for speeding up events, so you may be waving buh-bye to a situation that you knew you’d be letting go of soon. Farewells are rarely fond for your sentimental sign, but when you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go. Don’t cling, even if this expedited eclipse energy pushes you out of the nest before you’re sure you can fly. Even if you hit the ground, you’ll do so running. Out with the old, in with the new!
