Once in a Blue Moon
We’ve all heard the expression “once in a blue moon” used to describe a rare event. In astrology, a blue moon has its own definition. There are 13 full moons in most calendar years. Since there are 12 months — and 12 zodiac signs that the moon circulates through — this 13th moon is referred to as the blue moon.
Cosmic Overview Week of October 4
Talk is deep, not cheap, as the week begins. Communication planet Mercury is in lofty Libra, making us all think about our highest ideals. Libra is the sign of justice and partnership, and Mercury’s presence here pushes us to set aside self-serving agendas and think in terms of “we,” not “me.” Mercury will also form a dynamic “square” (45-degree angle of tension) to transformational Pluto, which is in committed Capricorn. It’s one thing to spout eloquent promises and notions, but this Mercury-Pluto square means we’d better walk our talk, too.
Pisces Rihanna Disses Katy Perry & Other Pop Princesses
They say blood is thicker than water, but how about a water SIGN? It didn’t seem that way last month when Pisces Rihanna took her BFF, Scorpio Katy Perry, on an all-star bachelorette party through Las Vegas. The two pop stars were as thick as thieves, posing for pictures together and even holding hands.
This week, it seems the Barbados-born Pisces is singing a different tune.
While promoting her new album “Loud,” Ri-Ri told BBC’s Radio 1, “I didn't want the generic pop record that Ke$ha or Lady Gaga or Katy Perry would do. Every song was tailored to me.”
