Weekend Astro-Agenda: Rebalance Your Life

Posted By admin 5:30am GMT

So you thought you’d have a chill weekend, lounging on the couch and doing next to nothing? Sorry folks, you’re gonna have to schedule that plan for another time. On Saturday, the Cancer Moon forms a Cardinal Cross with heavy hitters Jupiter in Aries, Saturn in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn. (Astrogeek translation: The four celestial bodies will be positioned close to 90 degrees away from each other in their orbits. If you could draw lines between them, it would look like a cross.)

Mars in Taurus: Open for Business

Posted By admin 5:30am GMT

This week, motivator Mars vroom-vrooms out of fiery Aries (the sign it rules) into earthy builder Taurus. If you've been all worked up but not sure why, quick to anger or more hotheaded than usual, this will subside a bit. (Primo example: a riot that broke out at the Beijing Apple store amid an angry mob of iPad 2 shoppers.) While Mars does fire us up, the slow and thoughtful Taurus energy helps us temper our tempers. Not that an angry Bull can't charge. But you're more likely to channel your excess energy into work or moneymaking activities now.

Tension, Struggle & the Astrological “Square”

Posted By admin 5:30am GMT

In astrology, much of the interpretation relies on the angles (or aspects) that any two planets form to one another. These aspects all carry specific energy patterns — some easy, others challenging. Astrologers can forecast whether smooth sailing or choppy waters are ahead, based on planetary aspects. For example, if the emotional Moon is in a harmonious trine (120-degree angle) aspect to romantic Venus, love will flow easily.

Exit the Ram! Today marks the last day of the Sun's monthlong tour through Aries, with all its feisty fire. Aries is the zodiac's first sign, and the Sun's visit to it each year sparks new initiatives, exciting plans and short tempers. You may have come up with dazzling ideas in the past month — but do they have what it takes to go the distance? You'll find out in the month ahead. On Tuesday, the Sun shifts into Taurus, a grounded and practical Earth sign. The cream will rise to the top as you break ideas down into action steps and try to set them into a plan.

It’s Taurus Time: Ground Yourself

Posted By admin 5:30am GMT

The Sun officially settles into Earth sign Taurus for a month, putting us in builder mode. Outside, flowers and trees are in the tender beginnings of their bloom, a perfect metaphor for what’s blossoming in YOUR life now. This is a critical time, when the temperatures are still unreliable, and new growth needs patient, steady care to ensure its survival. How are you tending your garden now? Remember, just because you’ve planted the seeds or seen the first shoots, doesn’t mean you can leave things to fend for themselves.

Mercury Direct: The End of Chaos!

Posted By admin 5:30am GMT

Congratulations! You’ve almost made it through three weeks of mayhem known as Mercury retrograde. (This past week was especially wacko, eh?) Three or four times a year, Mercury, planet of communication, technology and travel, takes a low-power backspin, causing all of these areas to go nuts. If you celebrated Passover, your seder dinner was probably a circus. Trying to get everyone to sing in unison or follow along? Futile. And pity those who traveled.

Jupiter Opposite Saturn: Slow & Steady Progress

Posted By admin 5:30am GMT

Welcome to April! This month, expansive Jupiter and restrictive Saturn will directly oppose each other, creating an interesting tension. While Jupiter has us raring to go with personal ventures, cautious Saturn warns us to look before we leap (or sign on the dotted line). Here's how to make the best use of this interesting period, as told by The AstroTwins' Tali Edut.
