Fire up those coals and let the chitchat begin: A social Memorial Day weekend is in store. The Sun, talkative Mercury and social Venus are all in Gemini, ruler of communication. It's the perfect time to gather with an eclectic group of family and friends. With Venus retrograde (moving backward), we'll need to watch our social graces (no fair taking all the best cuts of meat or holding forth with a mouthful of potato salad, buddy). However, retrogrades are a great time to connect with the past. Perfect timing for anyone heading back to a hometown for a reunion. Of course, you may also run into an ex, since Venus is the love planet.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Moon is in showy Leo. Barbecues can turn into impromptu karaoke nights, gaming competitions or heated dance-offs. There may be a few narcissists or loudmouths in the bunch. If a peaceful gathering turns into a battle of the egos, get everyone to do something playful and fun. String up the volleyball net and channel all that pride into healthy competition.

Memorial Day could be memorable…but possibly for the wrong reasons. On Monday, the Moon moves into Virgo, which can get us a bit lost in our heads or even stressed—especially since intense Mars is also in Virgo. Emotions can run strong, and people may have short fuses. We'll need to remind ourselves not to sweat the small stuff! Family can get under your skin with this transit. There will also be a three-way "square" (tug-of-war) between planets in Virgo (Moon & Mars), Gemini (Sun, Venus, Mercury) and Pisces (Neptune). One minute we're focused, the next we're multitasking, and the next, we've lost track of time. Sheesh! Try not to overload yourself. If you're on the road, play calming music and put those backseat drivers in check. Get everyone singing along (if you can agree on a freakin' playlist or radio station!) if nerves get frazzled.
