Eclipse Do's and Don'ts

By admin Thu., Feb. 21, 2013 ,5:30 am EST

Feeling a little bit … off? A lunar eclipse is coming this Monday at the Sagittarius full moon, which is making us all feel strangely out of sorts. In the three to five days before and after an eclipse, reality can be suspended. After all, during a lunar eclipse, the earth passes exactly between the Sun and Moon, casting a shadow on the full moon (which can make it turn intense shades of red, brown and gray).

Symbolically, this means our own "shadow" selves will be visible — the deep, unconscious forces that normally brew below the surface. That's why normal life can start to seem like a visit to Crazytown in the days surrounding an eclipse. People's so-called dark sides come to light at the eclipse. And while we all have the capacity for this, you might want to take extra safety measures. Don't be too quick to talk to strangers. Cross the street if you see someone ranting, and avoid anything that feels energetically weird or "off" — like a party. Your sensitivity to vibes will be enhanced at the eclipse, even if your judgment may feel askew. Err on the side of caution!

The key is not to judge the parts of yourself and others that get exposed at this eclipse. Just because you blurt something out or reveal an agenda doesn't make you a bad person. The opportunity of an eclipse is to see where you can still grow or evolve.
