Celebrity Squares: Courteney & David and Demi & Ashton
Amidst reports of marital trouble, Scorpio Demi Moore and hubby Aquarius Ashton Kutcher set off for the Kabbalah Centre’s holy land: Israel. Presenting a united front despite swirling rumors, it seems the couple, whose astrological signs form a challenging square, are intending to beat the Hollywood divorce-rate odds.
A square occurs when signs form a 90-degree angle, or are four signs apart from each other. There is a dynamic tension within square relationships that can create both passion and a butting of heads. The signs have only one aspect in common, and that is that they are both either cardinal, mutable or fixed. There is often a parent-child dynamic at play in square relationships, because your signs are positioned in each other’s mother and father houses (fourth and 10th).
Another square couple that reported a breakup this week is Courteney Cox (Gemini) and David Arquette (Virgo). Interestingly enough, Arquette told shock jock Howard Stern that Cox told him, “I don’t wanna be your mother anymore.” Arquette is going to therapy, “trying to grow up.” Good luck. Unfortunately, playing out parental dynamics can sometimes be the glue that holds square couples together. Without a LITTLE bit of the mommy-daddy vibes, the chemistry could be zapped.
So, if you’re looking to find your own “red string” romance with someone who shares your spiritual beliefs but might have a vastly different approach to expressing himself, here are the squares for your sign:
Aries: Cancer, Capricorn (cardinal signs)
Taurus: Leo, Aquarius (fixed signs)
Gemini: Pisces, Virgo (mutable signs)
Cancer: Aries, Libra (cardinal signs)
Leo: Taurus, Scorpio (fixed signs)
Virgo: Gemini, Sagittarius (mutable signs)
Libra: Cancer, Capricorn (cardinal signs)
Scorpio: Leo, Aquarius (fixed signs)
Sagittarius: Virgo, Pisces (mutable signs)
Capricorn: Libra, Aries (cardinal signs)
Aquarius: Scorpio, Taurus (fixed signs)
Pisces: Sagittarius, Gemini (mutable signs)
So, will there be a counseling session with one of the Kabbalah Centre’s wizened rabbis? No word on that yet. Kutcher, 32, described the journey as a spiritual pilgrimage, and is speaking at a conference.
May this pilgrimage be an illuminating experience for Ashton and Demi. She is a role model for women refusing to bend to the double standard of gender and age. Keep on working it, Demi, into your fifties, sixties, seventies and beyond!
