Back-To-Work Blues? Some Planetary Guidance
No more pencils, no more books, no more teachers' dirty looks? Yeah, sure. We've just replaced those with desktop PCs, expense reports and glaring middle managers. No matter how long ago it was that we tossed our graduation caps in the air, fall seems to stir up heavy thoughts about what we're doing with our lives.
Instead of putting our heads down on our desks, the 2010 cosmic lineup suggests we get out there and socialize more. Saturn is now firmly fixed in Libra, the sign of partnerships. The Sun is also there until October 22. Haven't we heard the expression "It's all about who you know" enough times to believe it? There's nothing Libra energy loves more than a great joint venture, a networking event, a strategic alliance. One chance encounter at an industry cocktail hour could rock our worlds and open incredible doors of opportunity.
For the rest of the year, Jupiter and Uranus are back in Pisces, the sign that rules mentors, guides and intuitive counselors. If our paths are unclear, we should seek support from peeps who have "been there, done that." Life coaches can also be tremendously helpful this fall. Stuck in an inexplicable, self-defeating habit? Pisces rules the subconscious mind. How about getting hypnotized a few times to cure that fear of public speaking or the anxiety that prevents you from going after the interview for your dream job?
Most of all, we should go easy on ourselves. Libra and Pisces are gentle, nurturing signs. They like to pop by the salon for a pedicure between appointments. To add the personal touch to the work environment, do something like bringing cupcakes to the Monday morning meeting or sending out an office-wide invitation to happy hour. For people lamenting constantly, "I hate my job!" efforts like these could change that tune ... without the necessity of changing to a new job or department.
No matter what, we suggest reframing negative beliefs in a positive light. Instead of "My desk is so cramped," try "I will discover innovative solutions for decorating a small space." The subconscious suggestion can revolutionize the experience of going "back to work."
