WHAT'S ON THE HORIZON?

The New Year is upon us, and with it come many new and exciting possibilities for all the signs of the zodiac. When Saturn leaves Gemini and moves into Cancer on June 4, a three-year period of economic restriction begins. This can mean both good things (less work and work-related stress, as well as lower prices) and not-so-good things (a tougher time making ends meet).

The air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, can look forward to breathing a big sigh of relief, since Saturn's two-and-a-half-year transit in Gemini put those three signs through the wringer at work. Now things will ease up, and these signs may begin to reap the rewards of their efforts. On the other hand, the water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, now enter a two-and-a-half-year period of emotional and professional challenges. Don't stress, though — change can be very exciting! The earth signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, will find that their lives run more smoothly once Uranus moves into the water sign of Pisces in March. Finally, the fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, will face fantastic changes in work and money in 2003 as Jupiter, Uranus and Saturn all shift their positions in the heavens.

MERCURY ON THE MOVE!

If you want to seal a commitment, beware of Mercury when it goes retrograde and appears to go backward in the heavens. This movement can bring serious communication breakdowns and cause new commitments to fray. Therefore, it's best to avoid entering into any long-term agreements — including engagement, marriage and home ownership — during a retrograde.

IS THERE A BAD MOON RISING?
